Some of the schools in the area include Steelesview Public School, Zion Heights Junior High School, and Pineway Public school. The neighbourhood also has a chiropractic college located on Leslie Street. Two public secondary schools serve the area: A. Y. Jackson Secondary School and Earl Haig Secondary School.

其实我的意见很简单，我只是不同意你说的多伦多犹太社区的Leslie/finch.作为新移民我不坑知道过去的事，好早喔曾经有一位老伙计是移民加拿大近40年的老移民，他给我讲起过多伦多的犹太人，阿紫80年以前，多伦多的犹太人几乎都在Downtown，北边也有但不成气候，犹太人把持着多伦多Downtopwn的很多产业，像律师，别的族裔很难进去，但大的律师楼都在Downtown。所以犹太人都那那里。八十年代后，他们开始加速北移，再加上原有的Bathurst的线路，他们就一直下去了。这就是我了解的多伦多犹太人。而且由于工作关系，现在我不得不对多伦多地产的行情相当了解。但，我确实不知道你说的Leslie/finch犹太社区。

如果我文中对你有什么冒犯，见谅。不过，我不想再回你的贴。到此为止。

leslie西，sheppard-steels曾经是犹太人聚集区之一。但现在仍然有不少犹太人，主要聚集在don river西的部分街道。

原来犹太人都在dt的时候北面还几乎没盖起来呢，当然都聚集在dt了。50年前401北还都是农田呢。那时候dt不叫dt，那才是多伦多的原型，那时候多伦多到eglinton就到头了，再往北就不属于多伦多了，北约克还是个独立的镇。

另外你还由于工作缘故不得不对多伦多地产的行情相当了解？相当了解的话还对区域名和区域边界一窍不通？
顺便给你补一个，thorn hill也是犹太人的聚集区，如bayview glen和yonge西。bayview glen就挨着bayview woods北面，那里还有个犹太教的synagogue。

再往东有个曾经（100年前了）是德裔聚集的原农场区，叫german mills。

意大利人都集中在maple, vaughan, king等地了。

Several decades ago, as the Jewish community expanded northwards, community planners anticipated a growth of Jewish life along Bayview Ave. It seemed logical at the time: the Jewish community was successful on Bathurst St. and was looking to expand to the east. And so schools and synagogues were built including Beth Tikvah Synagogue, United Synagogue Day School (now Robbins Hebrew Academy) and Temple Har Zion on Bayview Ave., and  a dayschool and a Jewish community centre on Leslie St. During the 1970s and 1980s, the schools and synagogues were full. However, the community didn't stay.

除了bayview village西边的犹太教堂外，finch上现在还有所zion小学校址，这是100多年前的校址。leslie上的中学也叫zion heights（别告诉我你连zion是什么都不知道）。leslie上现在的canadian chiropractic college校址上5，6年前还是所犹太教的学校。这些都在leslie西。

leslie/finch北，在cummer上，5，6年前那还是所犹太教学校，面积很大，背靠河谷，现在是加拿大整骨学院。

leslie/finch，在cummer上，中间的zion heights初中，意为犹太语中的耶路撒冷锡安山，就是因为当时此区域是犹太人区。

finch/leslie的leslie square里在华人涌入之前是犹太人的plaza，最后搬走的应该是家以耶路撒冷命名的buffet，2001~02年搬到finch南的一个小plaza里了。


bayview/finch南，中间的Beth Tikvah Synagogue和united synagogue day school，都是犹太教的教堂和学校。

挨着这片区域的bayview/steels北一点，是Temple Har Zion，又一个犹太教教堂。

根据人口普查的数据来看，到现在此区域里犹太人仍是最主要的族裔之一，我到是怎么看都没看到你所说的“意大利人”在哪。。。

According to Statistics Canada, the Bayview Village neighbourhood has more seniors and fewer children when compared to the rest of the city. The Bayview Village area has also benefitted from surges in immigration, with the majority of immigrants arriving in Canada since 1990. Chinese, Persian and Romanian languages are often heard in the streets. However, Jewish is still on the top 10 list of ethnicities living in the neighbourhood.
