我觉得电影有意思的是，涉及了洋人传教，英国的白求恩，异族通婚的先驱。最扣情感画廊内容的是爱情、婚姻、出轨等主题。

我觉得比《情人》发人深省。

古狗了一下，是美国人拍的英国人在中国的故事，里面的修道院的修女是法国的。
