Thanks! I get your point now. For sue we will.
She is a very smart girl. She got perfect score for both SAT and SMT test last year which was reported in the local TV news of the city she lives.
I didn't listen the whole speech. It is too long......
From what did I hear, she spent a lot of time talking about how to connect with Chinese universities. She said she met presidents of Chinese universities last year. There is a new undergraduate course “Critical Thinking and Moral Reasoning" introduced to Tsinghua university by Professor Michael Sandel of Harvard University. She was so proud of this.
Like every American mainstream, she addressed how it is important to communicate with Chinese universities; and in order to do so, learning language is critical.
Of cause I like the finance aid that Harvard provided to the students. My niece is one of the beneficiary.
Sorry, it took so long to reply to you.
Althoug our family were not suprised she got accepted as we all know she is exceptional; but still, it was a big news for us. I don't know how excited she was.( She always smiles and laughs. ) I am sure her dad had sleepless nights.
Thank you for this posting! It is a very good chance for me to learn English. I will download some sentences.
I think of this as my parking space theory of career choice, and I have been sharing it with students for decades.
我把这叫做我的关于职业选择的“泊车”理论,几十年来我一直都在向学生们“兜售”我的这个理论。
Don’t park 20 blocks from your destination because you think you’ll never find a space.
不要因为怕到了目的地找不到停车位而把车停在距离目的地 20 个路口的地方。
Go where you want to be and then circle back to where you have to be.
直接到达你想去的地方,哪怕再绕回来停,你暂时停的地方只是你被迫停的地方。
