When people in South Korea, Taiwan, Russia, Eastern Germany, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, and many many other countries went on the streets to demand democracy and freedom. Their governments all backed down, and gave their people what they wanted.
Only the Chinese government chose to pull out their guns and killed so many people. Not only that, they threaten to do it again if the people dare to try again. This is the real tragedy!

I never said those government did not kill any people, although they killed far less than the Chinese gov did in 8964.  But they eventually backed down and gave democracy and freedom to their people, didn't they?  The Chinese people have no such luck because they have one of the world's most brutal, stubborn, anti-democratic government.

One thing you either do not realize or do not want to admit, it's that as long as you live here, you are contributing to all Canadian government's activities around the world even if you never vote. Every tax dollar you pay, every profit you make for your employer, every stock you invest, every goods or service you purchase, indeed your every move contributes to Canada's efforts to make wars, to exploit workers and resources in the third world, to isolate North Korea, Iran, to contain China and promote democracy and human rights there.
So yes, you are a hypocrite, saying one thing, but doing the opposite.

Ridiculous, every penny of these security expenses is spent in Canada. None of them goes to China. As for selling the resources, only a tiny fraction of Canada's resources are sold to China, for inflated prices. It does not cause any harm to Canada at this time. If it does cause a problem in the future, Canadian government can say stop at anytime, and China would regret using up all its own resources to export made-in-China stuff at such a bargain basement prices.
